Things to know before visiting Belgium

  1. If you’re from Europe, you do not need a visa for short tourist trips to Belgium. You can stay for a maximum of 90 days.
  2. Belgium is a small country and the train network can take you almost anywhere. You can book through the SNCB.
  3. You can get 50% off train travel at weekends. So, save your longer day trips for Saturdays & Sundays!
  4. Don’t just visit Bruges. There are plenty of other gorgeous places like Ghent, Leuven, Antwerp, Dinant etc.
  5. I recommend buying a Brugge Museum Card to save money on attractions!
