When I first started my blog, I was set up on Bluehost. It’s a great starting platform for new bloggers and they have very cheap rates!
SITEGROUND
When my blog grew, I moved to a larger hosting service and now I own a server to speed up my site. Siteground is still my current host.
Email Marketing
FLODESK
I use Flodesk for my email marketing. I love their affordable plans and you aren’t capped on subscribers. Plus, their templates are stunning.
GROW
I’m with Mediavine and so I signed up for their tool Grow which has a subscribe form. You can sign up even if you’re not a member yet.

Almost 99% of the photos you can see of me on my blog I’ve taken by myself. All you need is a phone, a tripod, patience and a little confidence. Let me teach you how!
Important SEO Tools
KEYSEArch
I use Keysearch for all of my SEO research. They have affordable plans and my traffic grew exponentially from using it.
rankmath
Make sure to have a SEO plugin like RankMath installed on your site. You can then see what you need to improve on SEO.
SHORTPIXEL
SEO isn’t just about keywords, it’s your site speed too! I use Shortpixel to compress my all of my blog images.

Running a travel blog when you work full-time
Before I became a full-time travel blogger, I worked on my blog tirelessly whilst working a 9-5. It’s not easy juggling everything but it is possible if you manage your time. I have a guide to help you with some advice.

Social Media Tools
Canva
I use Canva for so many things on my blog. It’s the best easy design tool out there. They have a free plan or an upgrade to Pro.
Pinterest is a game changer when it comes to blogging. It’s a search engine but with pictures. You can make pins on Canva.
INSHOT
For video editing, I use Inshot. I use this tool for all my video content; reels, TikTok, YouTube videos etc – it’s amazing!
LENSBUDDY
I travel solo, so I use a phone tripod and a free self-timer app called Lensbuddy to take photos of myself on my phone.
