I had no idea what to expect of Estonia on my first visit to Tallinn. But, I quickly fell head over heels in love! To me, it felt like a city from a fairytale with its castles, towers and church spires all with a backdrop of the glittering Baltic Sea. It has to be on your bucket list. Saying this, Estonia is way more than its capital and I would recommend visiting other exciting destinations too. Let’s start planning!

Things to know before visiting Estonia
- If you’re from Europe, you do not need a visa to travel to Estonia for up to 90 days.
- Don’t just visit the capital of Tallinn. I would recommend heading out to other places like Lahemaa National Park, Parnu and Tartu.
- Estonia is a very safe country to visit with a low crime rate. I’ve travelled solo here twice and faced no issues at all.
- I would recommend taking a ferry to Helsinki in Finland while you’re here. It makes an awesome day trip.
- Buy a Tallinn Card to save lots of money on attractions!
