Germany
Ever since my first trip to Munich last year, I have become a Germanophile. I can’t stop gawping at the fairytale castles, swooning over quaint villages or obsessing over the House of Wittelsbach. I recently spent a month in the country and now have lots of travel guides I want to share. From bustling Berlin, to scenic Saxony and whimsical Bavaria – this country truly has my heart. Let’s start planning your next dreamy trip to Deutschland!

Things to know before visiting Germany
- If you’re from Europe, you do not need a visa for short tourist trips to Germany. You can stay for a maximum of 90 days.
- You can book all transport via the DB Navigator app. This applies for the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, ICE trains, buses, ferries etc.
- I recommend purchasing the new Deutschland Ticket for unlimited transport in Germany for just €58 a month.
- Prepare for lots of meat-filled dishes. Vegans and vegetarians may struggle for food options in remote areas.
- Always carry cash with you. Cash is still very much king here!
