Latvia
It was my first time travelling to Latvia this year and I am absolutely in love. My reason for going was the iconic House of the Black Heads in Riga but the entire country was stunning to explore. You can enjoy the National Library of Latvia, sip on Black Balsam and admire the Art Nouveau district in the capital but I would also recommend some day trips to Sigulda, Bauska and Jurmala. Let’s start planning a lovely trip to Latvia!

Bucket List Experiences
Things to know before visiting Latvia
- If you’re from Europe, you do not need a visa to travel to Latvia for up to 90 days.
- Don’t just visit the capital of Riga. I would recommend heading out to other beautiful places like Sigulda and Jurmala.
- Latvia is a very safe country to visit with a low crime rate. I travelled solo here and faced no issues, even in the evening.
- You can easily book buses and trains to travel around Latvia but a car is easiest if you plan on travelling long distances.
- If you’re visiting the countryside in summer bring DEET as the mosquitos here are brutal!
