Malaysia is very diverse with the Cameron Highlands and Penang in the north and tropical islands to hop to all over. You could spend weeks here and not get bored. - If you’re from the UK, you don’t need a visa for Malaysia as long as you don’t exceed a 90-day stay.
- Kuala Lumpur is the capital city but I always recommend visiting lesser-known locations like Ipoh and Penang.
- The official religion of Malaysia is Islam. It is important to dress conservatively and respect local culture.
- Malaysia is generally safe to visit. Don’t go out late at night and have locks on your luggage.
- Be wary of animals like monkeys and stray dogs to avoid contracting rabies. Have a preventative vaccine before you go.
