If you love whimsical characters, then you’ll be pleased to know that you can find Miffy in South Korea.

She’s a really popular character here, and so there are plenty of Miffy stores around the country that sell exclusive merchandise.

I visited (almost) all the South Korean Miffy shops and cafés during my trip.

As a huge fan, I found it was a dream come true. If you also love Miffy, you must include these adorable shops in your travel plans.

Here is a complete guide for Miffy in South Korea, including all the store locations, Miffy cafés and a peek at the exclusive merchandise.

What’s the deal with Miffy in South Korea?

Miffy is a cute bunny created by the Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. So, she is in no way a Korean invention.

But Miffy has become somewhat of an icon in South Korea in recent years and around wider Asia.

She’s such a popular character that there is now a collection of Miffy Stores and cafés found throughout the country.

Each store sells exclusive merchandise inspired by the area, including the viral plush keychains.

They have become highly sought-after collectables, so most stores have long queues to enter, and stock often sells out.

It’s really fun to plan a visit to all the South Korea Miffy shops on your travels, and the exclusive Miffy items make special souvenirs.

All the Miffy Stores in South Korea

1. Miffy in Seoul

Although there are a lot of retailers that stock Miffy merchandise in Seoul, there is only one shop you should visit if you’re a true Miffy fan.

The Miffy Store in Seoul is a flagship store found in Seongsu, known as the ‘Brooklyn of South Korea’.

They sell exclusive Seoul Miffy merchandise including the Denim Miffy collection of tote bags, plush keychains, pin badges and pens.

I bought a dark denim tote bag along with a brown Miffy (Melanie) and Boris Denim plush charm.

These do tend to sell out in Seoul, so I would grab them if you see them.

I’m not going to lie to you, this Miffy shop is the definition of a hot mess. It’s utter chaos inside, and there can sometimes be long queues to go in.

But it’s totally worth persevering through the scrum as they sell every kind of cute Miffy souvenir you could think of!

2. Miffy in Gyeongju

If you’re planning a day trip to Gyeongju, then you should definitely stop by the Gyeongju Miffy Store.

It’s set in an ancient hanok building and has a Seokguram Miffy statue outside inspired by the Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple.

There is also another statue of Miffy with the famous Cheomseongdae Observatory.

There are two stores that you can visit side by side. The left sells exclusive merchandise, and the right stocks regular Miffy products.

You can find all sorts of exclusive Gyeongju Miffy merchandise like the grey Seokguram Miffy, Boris and Penny trio set.

They also have a Pensive Bodhisattva keyring and a Cheomseongdae Observatory luminous keychain.

But the most popular items have to be their Bakery Miffy collection, including a Miffy Bread Boris with a Chalbori Bread pouch.

Gyeongju Miffy Café

Just down the road from the Gyeongju Miffy Store, you’ll find the Gyeongju Miffy Café.

I say café, but it’s more of a takeaway counter that serves up Miffy-themed coffees and ice cream.

After my Miffy haul, I decided to buy an iced black Americano and a black sesame seed Ice cream inspired by Seokguram statues.

It was absolutely delicious, and I definitely recommend visiting if you’re a Miffy fan.

3. Miffy in Busan

I have to admit, Miffy in Busan was the place I was looking forward to most on my travels in South Korea.

You can step into Miffy’s world to enjoy a coffee and cake in the café. Then, browse their Miffy Shop to buy exclusive merchandise.

It’s set in a huge orange building on the hillside overlooking Busan harbour and has an incredible panoramic rooftop.

The store is found in the basement and is filled with gorgeous Miffy photo opportunities around every corner.

You can then shop for their exclusive Busan Miffy merchandise; I was so thankful it was in stock on my visit.

They have a Jagalchi Market Miffy collection of Miffy, Boris and Penny. Plus, a Miffy in Busan keychain with her mini backpack.

But the most popular is the Marine Miffy and Boris in their sailor suits. They are adorable, so I snatched these up.

Miffy Cafe Busan

After you’ve explored the Busan Miffy Store, I highly recommend spending some time in the Busan Miffy Café.

They have an entire range of Miffy-themed treats on the menu, including special coffees, lemonades, matcha and cakes.

I treated myself to a black iced coffee and a Miffy tiramisu. But they also had Mocha Buns, Salted Bread and Hazelnut Chocolate Cake.

With each purchase, you get a special Miffy coaster of one of the characters for free.

They had lots of seating to choose from. The inside has air conditioning and the outside has views overlooking the harbour.

I could have spent all day here as it’s an enchanting escape from the bustling streets of Busan.

4. Miffy in Jeju Island

Although there isn’t a dedicated Jeju Miffy store, you can still find lots of merchandise with an island theme.

Jeju Island is famous for its real-life mermaids or female divers called Haenyeo, and they have Haenyeo Miffy keychains and plush charms.

They also have Miffy with Hallabong Tangerines, a popular icon of the island, and Miffy dressed in Jeju t-shirts.

There are a couple of Jeju Miffy Stores where you can find stock:

  1. My Jeju Gift
  2. Gyulgyul Store Dodu
  3. Gyulgyul Store Aewol

My favourite was My Jeju Gift as it’s centrally located in Jeju-si. That’s where I bought the majority of my merchandise.

They also had lots of other cute character gifts like Snoopy and Pingu with a Jeju Island theme!

5. Miffy in Geoje Island

Last, but by no means least, you have Miffy in Geoje Island (Geojedo).

This can be visited around two hours from Busan and makes a fabulous day trip.

This was the only Miffy shop I didn’t have time to visit in South Korea. It’s on my list. But I did see the merchandise on display in Seoul.

They have a Geoje Miffy store that sells an exclusive Mongdol Miffy inspired by the smooth stones found on the island.

They also have a seasonal Geoje Hydrangea Miffy collection you can browse.

Additionally, you can visit the Geoje Miffy Café that serves up coffees, tea, soft drinks and bunny-themed treats.

So, that’s all the South Korea Miffy Stores

So, that’s all the Miffy stores in South Korea at the time of writing.

As she’s such a popular character, I do not doubt that there will be more Miffy locations added in the future.

But, for now, these adorable bunny shops and cafés should be more than enough to hunt down on your travels.

I loved chasing Miffy in South Korea, as each store had its own unique aesthetic, exclusive plush charms and photo opportunities.

Just make sure to come prepared to do your wallet some serious damage as the Miffy merchandise is difficult to resist.

I also recommend following their shop social pages on Instagram to check on exclusive Miffy stock updates to avoid disappointment.
